A boy of 8 years suffered from Epilepsy since two years. He was not able to contribute towards the history, as he had hoarseness of voice which prevented him from speaking. all he said was that he often had cough, which was better by taking cold water. The mother gave me his history - that before two years he was reprimanded by his teacher for not completing the home-work and warned not to repeat the mistake. Ever since then he has been a frightened boy. He keeps telling his mother that he fears something is going to happen. It was observed by the parents that the boy always laughed before setting in of a conclusion.

The patient had a poor build with whitish complexion.

The following rubrics from Kents Repertory led me to Causticum or which I gave the boy four doses of 200th potency, to be taken every third day. After 15 days the mother came with the boy and reported that there were no attacks after two doses were given.
