A Case of UTI With a Miasmatic Block
NATIONAL JOURNAL OF HOMOEOPATHY 1994 Nov / Dec Vol III No 6.

Cases.
` Sulph / Apis.

Mrs. SZ, was suffering since 4 days with the following complaints:

  1. Burning and stinging pain in urethra before, during and after urination
  2. Frequent urination - must pass once every half an hour. More at night.
  3. At the end of urination the urine passes drop by drop without satisfaction.
  4. Burning urination better by cold application.

When questioned as to her thirst she replied -" I drink a lot but I have no special desire to drink."

Treatment: The drug was clear - Apis, which was given 1M every hourly.

But the patient came back without relief. Routine urine examination revealed pus cells - 5--/ h.p.f. Apis, seemed to be the indicated drug but it did not relieve.

The thought - Miasmatic Block - struck my mind. Sulphur 1M single dose was given followed by Apis 1M three doses. Sulphur was given to remove the miasmatic block.

The next morning she came with no complaints. Repeat urine examination showed pus cells reduced to 18-20 hpf. She was prescribed placebo and has no complaints till date.

This case proved once again that homoeopathic works instantaneously.
