[Though the case is good, it passes our comprehension why the Doctor thought it necessary to change the prescription two months after the first dose in the first case. This "itch" to change the medicine when the patient is better needs to be controlled, if we dont want to spoil our work- EDITOR.]

A professor of history of a local college age 49 years consulted me for his ailments which had resisted allopathic treatment.

Present complaints were as follows: Mind- mentally depressed, sinking feeling on hearing any bad news, fear of death, fear of disease, irritable, anger from contradiction, indignation about his political career, feeling of tension from slightest irregularities, sad but cannot weep, failed to weep after his fathers death, soft-hearted.

Physical Generals Occasional sinking sensation from slight emotional excitement or imaginary fear, work load causes headache. Has occasional hypertension, occasionally, sleeplessness.

Particulars- Weak digestion, appetite wanting, taking allopathic digestives for about 9 years.

Past History- He was a meritious student but he could not appear in the first chance of MA examination because of mental depression after his fathers death. He was very much sad but could not shed a drop of tear. In the next year he successfully passed. He had such a mental bent that he always contradicted the prevailing social makeup. He nursed ideas which was hard to implement. Vaccination in childhood.

Family History- No remarkable miasmatic background was reported.
