Life Situation
Patient is the younger of 2 daughters. Her father is an electronic engineer, basically from Bangalore, transferred to Mumbai in 1989. Fa is very cool but occasionally gets very irritable, starts shouting, throws things etc.

Mother - BA graduate, highly sentimental and a brooder, esp. about husband's shouting (though he shouts once in 6-8 mths) Cries easily, sympathetic, cannot see anybody suffering. Highly anxious about children's health, school etc.

When they shifted to Mumbai, she delivered 1st baby; eldest daughter is of tomboyish nature, dominating but very intelligent, over confident, always wants to top in every field, cannot take defeat easily, wants to dress up like a boy. Mother feels very proud over her. She never wanted the 2nd child, least a girl.

At the end she said "It's okay, I had a girl; at least she is not a handicapped child. (note the negativity).
Patient has always been a very shy child. Very obedient, not demanding. Whenever she would come to the clinic on Saturdays, she would wear bangles, payal, apply bindi etc. Though just 4 years old, she is very much fond of dressing. Mother would say "My eldest daughter is a boy and she is a girl, she has inherited all the feminine characters of elder sister. This girl is very affectionate, caring, loving and kissing her mother (even during interview) good in studies, got 6-7 prizes, teacher says does not take part in other activity.
