Case 92: My Marriage has Ruined my Life 

Mrs HR, 30 yrs Married, Hindu, Graduate, Non-veg, Homemaker came on 27/12/08 with the following complaints.

CHIEF COMPLAINT

PATIENT AS A PERSON
WEIGHT: 80 kg
APPETITE: Good DESIRES: Hot Milk3+, Spicy3+ Sweets3+ 
THIRST: ↓ 3gl/day
STOOL: Constipated, hard stools since 1 year
PERSPIRATION: Less
SKIN: Cracks 
SEASON: Likes winter. Takes covering while sleeping, likes summer season
BATH: Warm water
THERMAL MODALITY: C4H
SLEEP: 1-9 am, disturbed, unrefreshing 
MENSES: LMP → 21/12/08, initially 8 days, now 5-6/45days since last one year, Irregular, Bright red, Moderate flow, clots
Before Menses → Mood swings, cranky, irritable, angry, fights with husband 
Beginning: Back pain
SEXUAL HISTORY: ↓ No urge, tries to avoid, 3-4times/10 days
MIND: Anger, Brooding, Cannot tolerate contradiction, Obstinate, Changeable, Sex enjoyment absent

LIFE SPACE INVESTIGATION: The pt was born in 1978 in Mumbai. Fa was working in Bank of Baroda. She had her formal education in Mumbai. Her childhood was very bad, lot of stress at home. She spent her time defending her Mo who had problems from with MIL. Mo had to educate her with her Mo’s help. At the age of 5-6yrs neighbours and relatives made sexual advances which lead to anger and dirty feeling. Brother is reserved and shy, he doesn’t remember hugging, teasing. She fell in relationship with a married man in 1996. He was obsessive about her and used to beat her, even she beat him. Later he broke up without her knowledge. Mentally she was highly affected at that time. When I left him I felt miserable, painful to separate. My H knows everything about it. My family wanted me to come out of it. My H is reserved and laid back. We have ups and downs in our relation and we fight too. He is 1 month younger to me. He is not very close to me. I cannot love him completely. He is never pro-active or has zest in life. I feel marriage has ruined me. He watches TV but I hate it. He rarely opens to me. I don’t let him penetrate me. He has no confidence I am more active during the act. My in laws didn’t give money for our honeymoon. My MIL made me to quit my job. She didn’t let me go out. She was very strict, she never allowed me to enter kitchen without bathing or sleep on the bed during period and used to tell my H to sleep elsewhere.
