I was consulted by a family, both parents highly educated (PhD), successful in their careers and very responsible people in society. They did not have a child and so they adopted one. The child had a dark complexion. This young boy was given all their Love affection and the best things in life. As he grew up he began to notice the difference in the colour of the skin between himself and his parents who were extremely fair. He was teased in school for this, subjected to ridicule as to whether he was his parents' real child. He was told about his adoption and that his parents loved him a lot. But the boy could not overcome his "dark and dirty complexion" complex. He would refuse to call his parents to school for any function or meeting. On further interviewing the boy it was found that he had developed "Inner feeling of dislike for himself as to why he was dark. This resulted in a lot of Resentment and anger which affected his studies and progress in school.

This state of "Feeling" of dislike for one self and poor self image was understood.

Remedy: Crab Apple. Within a few months his whole disposition changed.
